In this virtual interactive workshop, participants will learn about:
the three major types of trauma,
how to recognize the signs of trauma,
common body-based reactions to trauma,
and how to support oneself or loved ones to cope with trauma in healthy ways.
Through a collaborative approach, our team will answer your specific questions about how trauma shows up in one's life, as traumatic reactions differ from person to person.
Ask a Therapist: Compassionate Communication
In this virtual interactive workshop, participants will learn:
How to LISTEN effectively.
How to VALIDATE other people.
How to offer SUPPORT in a meaningful way.
Compassionate communication, particularly the need to listen and offer validation, is a much-needed skill. This workshop will provide basic tools for providing support in what can sometimes be a challenging conversation. A short presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
