"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight and never stop fighting."  - e.e. cummings

Julia Oliver, RDN, RYT

I'm a licensed dietitian and registered yoga teacher, and I have spent my career empowering individuals to heal their relationship with food and movement by providing an alternative to the damaging diet mentality. I have advanced training in eating disorder nutrition therapy for both adult and adolescent populations, and my work with all clients utilizes a blend of intuitive eating, Health at Every Size, attuned movement, and mindfulness techniques.

You can expect to learn the side of nutrition science that the latest ‘wellness’ article doesn’t share, and you will be guided to dig deep to find the internal body cues that many of us have become disconnected from since early childhood. Whether you are interested in finding food flexibility, experiencing joyful movement/exercise while honoring the body’s needs, embarking on a journey to body acceptance, or all of the above, I'd love to hear from you!

I offer complimentary 15-minute consultations, and am available to connect via email, phone, or you can schedule an appointment at the link below.

** I am currently placing new clients on a waitlist. Please reach out for additional information and an estimated wait time.

A framework for re-discovering and honoring the body’s cues related to food and movement while letting go of rules and thought patterns that keep us trapped in a dieting mentality. This process will empower individuals to build body trust, attunement, and respect.

HAES® is a holistic approach to health that serves as an alternative to weight-centric healthcare. It celebrates body diversity and supports sustainable self care behaviors that are aligned with intuitive eating, life-enhancing movement, and body respect. The HAES community seeks an end to weight discrimination and the internalized weight stigma that is created by our cultural obsession with weight loss and pursuing an impossible thin-ideal.

Based on the evidence that diets will fail for the vast majority of people and the observation that dieting attempts only result in a lingering, toxic mixture of self-degradation and guilt...It is time for a new approach, and a new wave of dietitians and medical professionals are jumping aboard. We will guide you to let go of rule-based eating and exercise and instead reclaim the connection to your body’s innate wisdom.

I consider myself to be the dietitian you can actually connect with and trust. Beyond just meal planning and nutrition education, I will take care in meeting you where you are and address your eating and movement challenges with compassion and tailored interventions.

My weight-inclusive, non-diet approach will give you the space you need to reconnect with your body’s innate wisdom and the skills to pursue an intuitive relationship with food and movement.
